Pretty-Scary.net
is a website devoted to women in the horror industry. It was created
in 2004 and is owned and operated by horror film journalist Heidi Martinuzzi.
It has a very feminist and pro-female take on everything happening in
the world of horror films, literature, art, and music, and focuses on
interviewing women and reviewing films and literature created by women.
Pretty/Scary is a sponsor of the San Francisco-based Viscera
Series all-female horror film festival, and sponsors an award at the
Shriekfest Film
Festival in Los Angeles. Pretty/Scary Films is the division of Pretty/Scary
created by Heidi Martinuzzi to produce female-centric horror cinema.
Pretty/Scary is based in Los Angeles, California. Wretched is
the first film from Pretty/Scary Films.
